The fourth member of the Sailor Senshi discovered by Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus was actually the first to awaken to her powers and serves as the leader of the Guardian Senshi. Artemis, the white cat responsible for reviving Minako to her true self, explains that Venus and Earth are twin planets and she must protect Earth from its enemies. A schoolgirl in 20th Century Tokyo, Usagi is a well-intentioned, underachieving crybaby who prefers the life of a normal teenage girl. Kaio Michiru is the Senshi most associated with the arts, having known skills in playing the violin, swimming, as well as painting. In Sailor Moon S, Michiru appears as temptation for Mamoru, parallel to Haruka appearing as temptation for Usagi. She has never made any advances on Mamoru, but Usagi is still jealous whenever she sees them together.
Also known as the “Outer Senshi”, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Neptune form a secondary group, along with Sailor Saturn. Previously, all of them preferred to work alone, but Sailor Uranus was able to trust Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto after fighting along side with them.
